What is WARPS?

WARPS: Wireless Automated Response Positioning System

WARPS is a unique method for determining and transmitting the identity and location of vehicles over existing two-way radio networks, whenever the press-to-talk button is used.

How WARPS works:

How WARPS works: Vehicle location and ID is transmitted over two-way radio and displayed at base stations or command units.

For more detail on WARPS technology and its applications, download our fact sheet, or contact us.

How does it work?

WARPS receives GPS satellite signals via a small roof-mounted GPS aerial, and calculates the vehicle's position. This information, along with the vehicle's identity, is appended to the the end of each voice transmission.

The vehicle can also be polled from a WARPS base station or mobile command unit.

Using WARPS patent-pending technology, no lengthy data transmission protocols or additional channels are required.
