WARPS Innovative Australian Technology

Technology

Challenges existing methods for transmitting location data, integrates with existing radio infrastructure and removes the need for additional data channels.

WARPS operates over Goverment (GRN), Trunk or Public Mobile Radio networks (TMR/PMR) at UHF, VHF and CB frequencies.

Using a simple plug-and-play installation, data transmission is activated on release of the radio press-to-talk key, or by remote interrogation (polling) from a WARPS base station connected to a PC and radio at the receiving location. Base Station software is fully integrated to ensure seamless operation with standard mapping platforms such as OziExplorer and MapInfo.

WARPS minimum system requirement is Microsoft Windows 98.

For MapInfo users, a Rapidmap version, 'WARPS Visual Plus', is available enabling increased management flexibility and access to additional data layers.
