How WARPS works

Simplified WARPS process
  1. In-vehicle WARPS unit receives GPS satellite signals via a small roof-mounted GPS aerial.
  2. GPS location and vehicle ID are appended to voice communications, whenever the 'push-to-talk' button is used.
    Operators at base stations and command units can also poll vehicles remotely for latest information.
  3. WARPS base station tracks, displays and records vehicle location and movement on situation map.
